About Collingwood Partnership

In April 2009 ARFLI signed a Three year partnership with the AFL's Collingwood Football Club. The partnership sees ARFLI benefit on several levels with Collingwood providing coaching, marketing and public relations support to ARFLI. 

Collingwood receive support from ARFLI through the provision of links from our website, official endorsement of Collingwood as our partner club and also through marketing to the Irish public, the Collingwood brand.

Collingwood are the best supported Football team in Australia and in recent years have had a number of Irish recruits most notably Marty Clarke. The club has a large Irish Australian Support base as it historically had a large catholic support and many of the supporters in the Collingwood area would have been Irish or of Irish descent.

ARFLI would ask all our friends to Support the Collingwood partnership by embracing them as their preferred AFL Club. Whether attending games in Australia, or through subscribing to International Club membership supporters will find that the Collingwood community, is one which embraces the Irish.
